Not just for camping.

I got this light because we have quite a few planned power outages and can be without power for 2+ days. I have it hanging outdoors so it remains charged and ready to use. I've had it hanging outdoors for a couple of months and it has maintained its inflation without visible signs of deterioration. However it can easily be rolled up for storage. Three light settings will give you the light you need. It also has a USB port that can be used for charging phones, tablets, etc. Carrying one in your auto for emergencies may be a good idea as well. I'm very happy with this light and plan on getting more.

Nice lights

Stability is good, brightness is great, quick charging, long battery life, they are durable and wherever you use these magnetic led blowup lights is where they stay. They don’t and won’t move around on you unless there is some wind and they are pretty bright.

Really cool, handy gadget..

This is a very clever gadget that I can see being very useful for many situations. It is very easy to use and works great. The fact that this is inflatable makes it very convenient to just throw in the car in case of an emergency. It would be great for camping or fishing or anywhere you need extra light. It is super easy to use, and there is only one button to control all functions. The light is adjustable to 3 different light levels and even has an emergency flasher. The light inflates to make it a long tube light and it deflates to concentrate the light in one place. It is fairly bright at the highest level. There are two magnets on the back side so you can attach it to the underside of the hood if it is metal. It holds air for a long time, but when you need to deflate it is easy.According to the provided instructions it should have a blue light to show when fully charged, but I had it plugged in charging overnight and the light was still red in the morning. I have had the light on for hours and it is still going. I have not tried it charging in the sun yet. I am waiting for the battery to fully discharge and then I will use solar to charge it.In closing I can definitely recommend this inflatable LED light. If for any reason it fails, I will revise this review.....

Bright and its compactable

Went camping out in an area with no cellphone or electricity period. This was instrumental in charging my phone and keeping light. This works phenominal. I hung it by a tree using a branch against it and it didnt even puncture it! I would highly recommend this if you're looking for quick and easy lighting thats solar rechargable

Big light, little footprint. Very clever idea that is well-executed. Magnets are a nice feature.

I think this light tube from Ztarx looks futuristic and “cool”. It creates more light than most camping lanterns, but weighs less and takes up less space. It also has good build quality. The whole unit is well-sealed against water– the solar panel and on/off button are under clear plastic, the USB port has a sturdy flexible-plastic valve cover, the seams and two hanging straps are all heat-melted together. The inflatable sleeve does not have any weird or plasticky odors. There’s a one-way valve to make blowing it up easy. The single stripe of LEDs provides bright and clean light. I could read on all three levels, although at the lowest level I brought the light closer to my book. Don’t look directly at the LEDs on high, like I did, as it caused after-image spots for a few seconds. The fourth light option is an SOS call. I could imagine that having a long 29” LED stripe flashing “SOS” might draw rescuers’ attention better than a small lantern would. The solar panel is small at 2” x 2.5”, so I don’t think it will charge quickly via solar; the box says it requires 20 hours of sunlight. I plan to charge this via USB, which takes 2.5 hours, so the solar panels will be used only in emergencies only. It’s great to have a non-USB power option as a backup, even if I only get a half-charge per day.It can be rested on the ground, hung up with the two hanging straps, or attached using the two embedded magnets. The strong magnets are an especially clever idea, as the light can be easily attached to any number of places– along a car door, under an open hatchback, along a metal support pole in a campground. This means that lights can be placed where needed, not only in places where hooks are.I really like this light. I might order another one.

Why Beam travels better

Beam makes more sense when space and simplicity matter.

The strongest argument for Beam is not novelty. It is that the product is easier to bring, easier to charge, and easier to use in more places than a rigid lantern that hogs space in the bag.

Shop Beam

Use in the wild

Beam earns its place in two kinds of moments.

One is the trip itself. The other is the time you need softer backup light at home or on the road. That is enough for the homepage.

"Finally a solar light that doesn't feel like a cheap toy. The 86cm Tube is basically a light bar for your tent but weights almost nothing. Used it for 5 days in the Sierras, never needed to plug it in."

"If you do location shoots, the BeamPro is a lifesaver. CRI is legit 95+. I keep two in my camera bag just in case. They literally take up zero space when deflated."

"The floating feature is why I bought it. Perfect for lake nights. Factory direct pricing is fair too. Ztarx quality is consistent."
